At Elite Aesthetics Academy, maintaining the highest level of sanitation and safety is a non-negotiable standard. Proper sanitation protects clients, students, and staff while ensuring compliance with state board regulations. Every student is expected to follow these requirements during all clinic and classroom activities.

🔹 General Sanitation Standards

  • Wash hands thoroughly before and after every client service.

  • Wear gloves, masks, and other PPE when required.

  • Disinfect all treatment surfaces before and after each service.

  • Use only clean, labeled containers for products and tools.

🔹 Treatment Room Sanitation

  • Sanitize beds, chairs, stools, and counters after every guest.

  • Replace all linens, towels, and capes between clients.

  • Store clean and dirty linens separately—dirty linens must go directly into designated laundry bins.

  • Check treatment carts to ensure all tools are disinfected and products are stocked.

🔹 Tool & Equipment Care

  • Disinfect reusable tools immediately after each service.

  • Dispose of all single-use items (sponges, applicators, cotton, etc.) properly.

  • Follow manufacturer cleaning instructions for equipment such as steamers, LED devices, and microdermabrasion machines.

  • Perform weekly deep cleaning (e.g., vinegar cycle for steamers) to prevent buildup.

🔹 Laundry Protocols

  • Place all used linens directly into designated hampers.

  • Wash linens daily using hot water and detergent.

  • Dry completely before folding and storing in clean, covered bins or closets.

🔹 Student Responsibility

  • Each student is responsible for setting up and breaking down their own treatment area.

  • Sanitation must be completed immediately after every guest—no exceptions.

  • Failure to follow sanitation standards may result in loss of clinic privileges or disciplinary action.

Steamer Care & Use:

At Elite Aesthetics Academy, all steamers must be used and maintained with care to ensure safety and longevity. Always fill the water reservoir only up to the “MAX” line—never above. After each use, allow the steamer to cool, then empty and wipe it clean before storing. All steamers should be returned to the front closet after use.

For deep cleaning, run a cycle with a vinegar-and-water solution (1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water) to descale and sanitize the unit. This should be completed once per week by the team to prevent buildup and keep the steamers functioning properly. After running the vinegar cycle, rinse thoroughly by running a full cycle of clean water.

If a steamer is not functioning correctly, promptly notify the team by posting in the WhatsApp group so it can be serviced quickly. Proper cleaning, correct use, and clear communication help keep our equipment safe, hygienic, and reliable for everyone.
