Phase One of the 600-Hour Esthetician Program at Elite Aesthetics Academy is where students build the essential foundation of their esthetics education. This phase combines theory, hands-on practice, and structured clinic hours to prepare students for real-world success in the aesthetics industry


What to Expect in Phase one

470-HOUR REQUIREMENT WITH UP TO 150 HOURS AVAILABLE with distance education assignments*

During this phase, students gain fundamental knowledge and skills, including:

  • Facials: Students will understand basic facial treatments and techniques. The importance of performing a skin analysis, different exfoliation methods and their benefits, benefits of facial massage, and different massage strokes.

  • Skin Care: Students will understand basic skin care knowledge including, skin types, different toners and their benefits, importance of moisturizing as well as sun protection, skin analysis, ingredients list, and more.

  • Hair Removal | Waxing: Students will learn different waxing techniques for different areas of the body. As well as, before and after care of the skin.

  • Brow and Lash Design: Students will learn how to do the following treatments, brow wax and tint, brow tint with henna, brow lamination and lash lift and tint. How to determine candidacy as well as before and after care.

  • Facial Makeup: Students will learn basic facial makeup techniques such as color correcting, color matching, tools, and shadow contouring.

Product Cheat Sheets

The objective of this project is to support the students in learning their products, ingredients, benefits, and features for the remainder of their course. These cheat sheets can be used in the treatment room throughout the theory and clinical phases of the program.

Build Your Brand Story Project

The objective of this project is to help students with career placement. Students will begin to build their resume, professional website, and social media presence through tools supplied through Associated SkinCare Professionals (ASCP).

Safe VS Unsafe Sunscreen

The objective of this product is to understand and help the student understand the differences in products sold in the marketplace and to establish safe and unsafe ingredients.

KNOW YOUR NICHE

This project is to familiarize yourself with the niche of esthetics you plan to pursue once you complete licensure. Research will be completed on proper training requirement, certifications available, techniques and protocols. This information will help keep you on trajectory to complete what you set out to do. Projects in digital format must be emailed to your educator on the date and time they are assigned. Projects received late will not receive full credit.

State Board Rules and Regulations Project

This project is to familiarize you with rules and regulations as it pertains to licensure. Research will be completed on proper levels of infection control as well as national and state rules and regulations. This information will help keep you and your guests safe as well as set you apart as a potential candidate for any employer.

Skincare Transformation Case Study

Conduct a clinical trial utilizing the Facial Treatment Protocols and products. Trial is done over a six week time frame. Proper protocols and home care recommendations must be followed. Guest services are covered at 100% and retail is offered at a 20% discount.

QUOTAS

The student will be required to complete all phase quotas to receive full credit. Quota work must be completed during theory hours. Quotas must be completed during school hours and must be signed immediately after completing each task. *Falsifying signatures on quota sheets could result in termination from the program.

ASCP Training Certificates – Elite Aesthetics Academy

As part of the 600-Hour Esthetician Program, students may earn credit for completing ASCP (Associated Skin Care Professionals) training certificates.

Requirements

  • Students may complete up to 10 hours maximum toward their program requirement through ASCP training certificates.

  • Training hours will only be credited once completion certificates are submitted to the Academy email.

Sanitations

Maintaining proper sanitation is one of the most important skills you will develop in Phase One. Cleanliness protects clients, students, and staff while preparing you to meet state board standards and succeed as a professional esthetician.
