Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can estheticians do Botox in Colorado?
No. Estheticians and cosmetologists cannot legally inject neurotoxins in Colorado unless they also hold an eligible medical license and/or are properly delegated and supervised by a physician in compliance with state law.
I’m an esthetician/cosmetologist. Can I still take this course?
Yes, you may attend for education, observation, and to deepen your anatomy and medical-aesthetic knowledge — but you will not be permitted to perform injections unless you also hold an eligible medical license and meet all legal requirements.
Do I get to inject on live models?
Licensed medical professionals and properly delegated participants who meet all prerequisites and documentation requirements may perform supervised injections during the hands-on portion of the course.
Does this course make me “legal” to inject?
No course by itself can expand your state-defined scope of practice. This program provides education and hands-on training; your license type, supervising physician, and Colorado regulations determine what you can legally do.
What if I want to become a nurse or medical provider?
Many estheticians and cosmetologists use additional A&P coursework and phlebotomy certification as stepping-stones toward nursing, PA, or other medical pathways. On this page, we provide examples of affordable anatomy and phlebotomy programs in Colorado to help you plan that journey.
